The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, September 1 reveals Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will be shocked, when Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) gets down on one knee.
Also coming up, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will tell Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) the truth. Plus, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will tell Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) he wants to stop Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). And Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will provide a shoulder to lean on.
Y&R spoilers tease Audra will see Nate walk into Crimson Lights. He’ll remind her that the last time he saw her, she walked out on him. “I overreacted,” she’ll reply. “I was wrong.” Then she’ll ask Nate if there’s any way they can fix it. Nate will say all he wants is the truth.
So, Audra will admit she went after Kyle, to get what she wants. But she’ll also say she was never going to sleep with him, or let it get that far. “But how far is too far?” Nate will ask. “Because you had no problem kissing him Audra.” She’ll remind Nate she was out of work for months. So, she had to take Victor’s offer.

“No twinge of conscience, just grab the brass ring and go for it,” he’ll reply. “Did you really not give a damn about Claire?” Audra will say if Kyle was willing to go as far as I suspected he was, Claire would be better off without him. She’ll also tell Nate he means so much to her that there’s no way she would have ever betrayed him.
But Nate will say she spent weeks lying to him. “Because getting your hands on a company means more to you than I ever did, than we ever did,” he’ll add. “If you can’t see this as the betrayal it is, then there’s something seriously wrong with you.”
Nate will storm out and end up at the park. Shortly after, Victoria will come along. She’ll tell him she’s glad he has people in his life to be there for him. “Like Amy, Audra.” Nate will make a face. and tell her things aren’t working out with Audra. “Everyone tried to warn me about her, I refused to see it,” Nate will add. “But my eyes are wide open now and it’s over, for good.”
At Society, Diane will meet Jack for a drink. She’ll say she was hoping to greet him at home, martini in hand, but she didn’t want to stand in the way of their son’s proposal. “I can’t shake my trepidation about this proposal,” Jack will admit.
Talk will turn to Victor and how he won’t tear up the contract Kyle signed. Jack will tell Diane Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) seems to have a path towards getting justice against Victor, a path they should all take.
Diane will say if he wants to help Billy snatch Chancellor from Victor, she’s all for it. Jack will tell her he wants to stop Victor once and for all. “Despite wanting to protect Nikki?” Diane will ask. He’ll say yes, with Billy’s help.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Claire Wants To Take Things Slowly
Meanwhile, Kyle will prepare for his romantic dinner with Claire. He’ll have fresh roses, a bottle of champagne on ice and he’ll put on some romantic music. Then he’ll look at the engagement ring he bought his girlfriend and put the box in a drawer.
Claire will arrive and say he went all out. “Because tonight means everything to me,” he’ll reply. He’ll say he hates that he’s broken their trust and will do everything he can to rectify it. Then he’ll propose a toast. “To the woman who has shown me what pure true love is,” he’ll say, and they’ll clink glasses.
Kyle will add he needs her to realize how sorry he is. “It was stupid of me to lie to you, when all we’ve ever been is honest,” he’ll add. Claire will ask why it took him so long to tell her the truth. He’ll say he told himself he was protecting her. “I was an idiot.”
Then Kyle will tell Claire even his parents advised him to tell her the truth right away. “So that’s why you told me, because your parents thought it was a good idea,” she’ll reply. “Not because of your own conscience.” Kyle will say he’s more determined than ever for them to get through this.
Claire will say if they’re going to do it, they need to take it slowly. But Kyle will say he’s in awe of her. “I may be your first love but you are my true love.” And he’ll spend the rest of his life proving to her she can trust him.
Finally, Kyle will reach into the drawer and take out the ring box. He’ll get down on one knee and propose. “What are you doing?” Claire will ask, making a face as she side-eyes the ring. “Let’s just do it, will you marry me?” Kyle will reply.
